Almonds Glazed with Sioux Z Wow & Black Pepper
Sioux-Z-Wow's Saucy Nickname is
Naughty Spicy Nuts
1 T. Black Pepper, ground
2 t. Salt
2 T. Sioux Z Wow Marinade
¼ C. Butter (1/2 stick)
¾ C. Golden Brown Sugar, packed
4 t. Water
2 2/3 C. Blanched Whole Almonds
Preheat your oven to 350F. While the oven is heating;
To Make: • Mix the Salt and Pepper. Melt the butter in a skillet over med. heat. Add Sioux Z Wow, Sugar & Water and stir until sugar dissolves. Add Almonds. Cook over med. heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens (about 5 min.) and sauce is sticking to nuts. Sprinkle in half Salt & Pepper mix and stir.
To Roast: Line a baking sheet with foil and coat lightly with butter. Now transfer the nut mixture to the baking sheet. Work quickly, using a rubber spatula, to separate the nuts on the sheet. Sprinkle with the remaining Salt & Pepper mixture. Bake until golden brown, (approx. 10 min.). Remove from oven and place baking sheet on a cooling rack to cool. When cool, you can use your hands to break up the spicy nut sheet into bite size pieces.
Serve With: Serve with a bottle of nice Champagne. These also make an enticing hostess gift.
